About The Event
This series is for those who know Kirti as a movement teacher whether through Yoga, Dance, Fitness Training or Tantric Coaching. It is an offering inspired by current clients who desire to learn yoga from a South Asian Indian American woman who has studied Yoga her whole life and struggles to feel seen in the Western Yoga set up. They have asked for guidance in Sanskrit and a reframe of the Yoga that was passed down to them from a limited western and appropriated lens. We will work slow from the first series of exercises learned in yoga. Surya Namaskar. We will understand the asanas from a spritual understanding and a Hindu perspective from which the practice emerges. We will also learn the Sankrit terms and learn how to better read and understand the meanings of sanskrit words that are commonly used in Yogasana practice. Each session is 60 minutes and we are working towards understanding the series deeply in order to repeat it for 13 cycles back to back. This session is free to DilSe Members and is being offered to the community $10. Please come and join the practice and deepen your own!
Kirti Srivastava holds a 500 ERYT AND has let it expire due to the inability to get consistent work and support by the yoga community in San Diego. Since then she has focused on her arts and has recently opened up to teaching again due to student's requests.
This ticket allows you access to one session!
