This class is unique in that you are guided through meditation on how to paint the story your soul wants to. Everybody’s soul has something different to say. This class is unusual in that your painting will not look like everybody else’s because this is not a paint by number or step 1 step 2 kind of class. Art is the path to the unknown. You will observe and watch your painting occur. Your painting will actually be original. A yoga environment can Inspire you on how to Compose, Paint, and Create the meaning you want, like a real Artist, with a real Artist, in an easy going relaxed yoga atmosphere.

I like to start with a demo. ½ of learning how to paint is learning how to see.
For those who haven’t painted before can learn how to in a snap! yes snap!
During this time, for those who do know how to paint and are enjoying the model/ still life/ atmosphere, can start, or continue to watch.
3:45-4:00
Meditation.
Check your palette, easel, canvas, brushes, turpentine, and floor seating (provided)
4:00-4:45
It’s your turn to paint. I am mostly walking around to see if you would like guidance, or if you would rather do your soul searching on your own. This is your painting, so I will not tell you what to paint, but if you ask questions on how, I will try to answer those questions. I am prolific at Figure, Landscape, and Still-Life, as a Fine Art Impressionistic Expressionistic and Abstract painter. I am able to advise on any subject and any style.
you may take as many breaks as you like. The whole point of painting on the floor is to train our bodies to sit, be still, stretch, and breathe.
4:45-5:00
Yoga.
5:00
Adios.
Each class is meant as a series. or as a one hit wonder. you will master your technique with practice and patience coming again and again. I offer a sense of knowledge to paintings. It's like yoga. the beginners class and masters class is the same, how much knowledge you have is the difference. The only difference between myself and a traditional art school is that I am drawn to drink, food, friends, movement, and music while painting. Other than that, this is a classical approach to Oil painting which I have been teaching for the last 25 years at several Universities Internationally and Nationally.
There is no such thing as an advanced Artist in my humble opinion. We learn each time we paint. Being an Artist means you are looking and finding ways to tell the world and you what you see that sometimes isn't seen by yourself or another, or what you or another wants to, or will, or have seen. Be open to receive . I work with everyone from everywhere. This is an Adult class, I also teach "kid plein air, painting with Instructor Preet Srivastava"
This is a series of 3 classes. You are welcome to work on the same painting from class before, or work on your painting during the week (like homework). Or just start a new painting each class. or go with the flow, and decide as it happens. I am intending to work on the same painting all 3 classes, but you never know and you always know.
some paintings are one lucky shot. some take decades...
I instruct different painting classes every week.

“Christmas does not happen only once a year, but it is a reminder that beyond all of your personal needs and immediate difficulties, you have a greater mission. And as in the life of Jesus, you must come to find this. You must feel it and allow it to emerge. You must recognize that alone you cannot fulfill it because it is not for you alone. You will wander in the desert, you will experience the temptations of the world, and you will feel the conflict between this greater emerging part of yourself and your personal wishes, preferences and fears. For, like Jesus, you must allow this greater power and greater purpose to eclipse your life, to envelop your life and to reorganize and redirect your life. This is Christmas.” Marshall Vian Summers.
make it happen !
